The Company
Tea Chapter was established by 13 friends (classmates attending a course at SIM) in Singapore on 1 October 1989. Since then it has developed itself to become the largest teahouse in Singapore and has established itself as a prominent landmark in Singapore and internationally. The mission of Tea Chapter is to promote and enhance the understanding of Chinese heritage through tea appreciation and the participation in related cultural activities. Their relentless effort in promoting Chinese culture and the art of tea brewing and drinking has put them in the league of 'must-sees' in Singapore.
In October 2000 Tea Chapter was given the distribution rights of Classical Pottery Workshop (First Branch, Yixing Purple Sand Ware Factory). This allows easier access to the highly acclaimed works of “Zisha” art and to provide teapots and tea accessories according to the specifications and requirements of their clients. Tea Chapter is also the Sole Agent for “Da Guan Porcelain Ware of Taiwan” in Singapore and Malaysia. The refine works of Cai Xiao Fang, a nationally renowned porcelain artist, are the prime products of Da Guan.
